YOGA
Therapeutic Yoga:
An effective practice for those recovering from, or living with, injury or illness. It’s a gentle approach, used to relieve tight muscles and help induce relaxation. Classes combine restorative yoga, gentle yoga, breath work, and guided meditation techniques. It is an excellent choice for those who need something gentle yet effective for bringing the body into balance and reducing stress.
Hatha Yoga:
Hatha, a Sanskrit word, means “force,” and translates loosely to “movement or meaning.” Hatha yoga is a tool for your physical and mental transformation. It demands that you pay constant attention to your breathing, which helps you be present in each posture. The postures you do can strengthen the body and the meditations can help focus and calm the mind.
Vinyasa:
This a broad classification that includes many different types of yoga such as Ashtanga and Poweryoga. This style of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The fluid, almost dance-like movements increase flexibility, strength and stamina, as it calms the mind and improves overall health. As a result, the practice can also do wonders for your mental health and mood, reducing depression, stress, and anxiety.
